Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms are the agreement between Pledzo (“we”, “us”) and the organisation that uses Pledzo (“you”). By creating an account, joining a team or using Pledzo you agree to them. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to bind it.

1. The service

Pledzo is an online donor CRM: it stores donor and supporter records, gifts, campaigns, events and volunteers; imports spreadsheets; and publishes the campaign and event pages you choose to make public. We may improve and change features over time. If we remove a feature you rely on in a significant way, we will tell you in advance.

2. Accounts and your team

  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secret. Each person needs their own account.
  • Owners and admins decide who joins the organisation and which role each person has. You are responsible for what your team members do in your account.
  • Tell us straight away at pledzoteam@gmail.com if you think your account has been misused.

3. Plans, trials and payment

  • New organisations start with a free trial. To keep using Pledzo after the trial, you need a paid plan. Current plans and prices are on our pricing page; enterprise plans are agreed separately.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; the plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for. Fees are not refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires.
  • Prices do not include taxes, which you pay where they apply.
  • We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal.

4. Your data

  • You own your data. Everything your organisation puts into Pledzo (“Customer Data”) stays yours. You allow us to host, copy and process it only to provide, secure and support Pledzo for you.
  • You are responsible for it. You must have the right to collect and use the information you store, give donors and guests the notices the law requires, and get any consents you need, for example before sending marketing emails (under laws such as CAN-SPAM, the GDPR or PECR).
  • Do not store payment card numbers, bank passwords or government ID numbers in Pledzo, or sensitive information (such as health details) unless you genuinely need it and are allowed to keep it.
  • Tax receipts and other documents Pledzo helps you prepare are your responsibility. Pledzo does not give legal, tax or accounting advice.
  • You can export your donor list and event sheets at any time.

5. Data protection

For personal data in Customer Data, you are the controller and we are your processor (or “service provider”). We will:

  • process it only to provide Pledzo and on your documented instructions, including these terms and how you use the app;
  • make sure our staff who can access it are bound by confidentiality;
  • keep appropriate technical and organisational security measures in place;
  • use only the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy, under written terms that protect the data as these terms do, and update that list before adding a new one;
  • help you respond to people exercising their data rights, and with security, breach notification and impact assessments where needed;
  • tell you without undue delay after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data;
  • delete your data within 30 days after your account closes, unless the law requires us to keep it; and
  • give you the information you reasonably need to show these obligations are met.

Where the law requires transfers outside your country to be protected, the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy apply.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Pledzo to:

  • break the law or anyone's rights, including privacy and anti-spam laws;
  • publish pages that are misleading, fraudulent, hateful or harmful, or raise money for a cause that is not genuine;
  • upload malware, or try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or test our security without permission;
  • overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it without our written agreement.

You are responsible for the content of the campaign and event pages you publish. We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

7. Our rights

Pledzo, its software, design and brand belong to us and our licensors. These terms give you the right to use Pledzo while your account is active; they do not transfer any ownership. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

8. Third-party services

Pledzo relies on providers such as hosting, email delivery and, when available, payment processing. Services you choose to connect are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep Pledzo running and secure, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Planned maintenance will be kept short. Support is by email; paid plans may include priority support as shown on the pricing page.

10. Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using Pledzo and ask us to close your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or that is unpaid after reminders, giving notice where we reasonably can.
  • After closing, you have 30 days to ask for an export of your data, after which we delete it as described above. Sections 4, 5, 7, 11 and 12 continue to apply after the agreement ends.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, Pledzo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those in these terms. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, donations or data that could have been avoided by keeping your own exports. Each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, or to your payment obligations.

You will defend and compensate us for claims by third parties arising from Customer Data you had no right to use, or from content you published with Pledzo.

12. General

  • We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for significant changes, tell account owners at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use Pledzo after that means you accept them.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Pledzo's operating company is registered, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you are based gives you a right to bring them locally.
  • If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up.
  • These terms, the Privacy Policy and any order or enterprise agreement you sign with us are the whole agreement about Pledzo. If they conflict, a signed agreement wins.
